Im back from Summer Shut Down :0)

After a lovely time off with my children I am now back to work getting on with customers orders and enquires. I will aim  to get through all messages by this weekend so please bare with me as there are a lot to work through.

I will be out on the office on Monday afternoon until some time late on on Wednesday as I am being taken away for a treat with my husband - the first time in years without the children so I am both excited and nervous.

After that it is back to work and preparation for Fibre Fest which I leave for on the afternoon of Friday 19th August. This show is at Bicton College on Saturdays and Sunday so if you love fibres, fabric, wool and everything crafty then come along.

Off to Cold Harbour Mill - then Summer Shut Down

Well this will be my last blog post for a little while as I will be busy juggling my other major commitment in life, my family.

Today you will be able to meet myself and my children at the Cold Harbour Mill - Wool and Craft Show in Devon. If you miss this chance I am afraid I will not be around for a week or so as I embark on a summer holiday adventure with my family, returning to work on the 12th August.

I look forward to meeting as many people as possible today and then hearing from as many people as possible on my return to work on the 12th August.

This weeks events include :-

Woolsery Show - Clovelly Court, Clovelly.   Event starts at 9am and you will find us in the Craft Tent.

Friday 30th July
Last day for orders to be dispatched before summer shut down.



 Saturday 31st July
Cold Harbour Mill, Crat and Wool Event.  We will be spinning hemp fibres and displaying our wide range of fabrics and related items.



SUMMER SHUT DOWN - Please note that we will be closed from the 1st August to the 11th August for time with my family. I will also be closed the following week for a couple of days for training, exact date still to be confirmed.

Off to WonderWool in Wales 8th to the 11th April

Right well im just about sorted for this show this weekend and im getting rather excited (and restless now).
Im going to be attending Wonderwool which is held on the 9th and 10th April at the Royal Welsh Showground.

COME ALONG

After this I will be back for 24hrs before having to go up to Leeds to see the consultant about my pelvis again, and then it's time to catch up with my family. I will be back from this on the 18th April.  So I guess it's time to say

Wow what a busy week

Wow that really was a busy week with order and some exciting new hemp webbing and cord coming into stock. Hemp Fabrics have now been used in another 3 film productions which I will be able to say more about when they are launched in the next 12 months or so.

We have 3 options of webbing avaliable ranging from a plain weave in 1inch width to a larger 1.5inch width herringbone weave design. Avaliable in meter lenths, minimum order 1 meter.
Our hemp cord is great for making bag ties or even shoe laces. See link for more details

Just a quick message to let you know that I will be away now untill the 11th March as I have a review in Leeds following pelvic surgery last year. Wish me luck :)

Fat Quarters, Quarter Meters and Off Cut Scrap Bags now avaliable

Today I have been sorting out the fabrics ready for easter shows and have decided to offer a selection of smaller fabric cuts to make it easier for customer to create there dream project with only the fabric they need, not extra. So on offer we now have :-

1kg Off Cut Scrap Bags - These are £6.50 per bag plus postage which would be £4 first class packet rate. They are unfortunatly too heavy to go by second class post. The off cuts vary from 5" squares to long thin strips, to bigger and also smaller angled off cuts. Common uses would be craft, especially quilting, stuffing and general sewing.

Fat Quarter Craft Packs - These are 3 x 20" by 22" (sometimes 24") pieces of hemp fabric. One piece is patterned, one piece in the natural colour, and another piece is bleached. These craft packs are £15 each and the postage is £1.85. Bamboo, Organic Cotton, Knitted Hemp and Hemp Blend Craft Packs will be avaliable shortly

Fat Quarters - We have a limited selection of fat quarters avaliable please email for more details and prices.

Quarter Meter Cuts - This is were a meter of the fabric is cut down into quarters and so the overall cost of the fabric is also cut down by 4. These are great for larger sampling pieces.
