What can I do with Hemp Fibres

Well here is a suggestion, try needle felting with them. Take a special felting needle and then just repeatedly stab the fibres are you rotate and fold them into shape. Here is a picture of something I made earlier :). It still needs some work but it works really well.

What does Hemp Fabric UK have in common with Robin Hood the Movie?

Well the answer is that a lot of the hemp fabrics that we sell were used in the Ridley Scott version of Robin Hood that was released in 2010.

So here's what I have been making

Here are two pictures of my first attempts and making hemp flowers as brouches. I think they are a little bit different but the colors and texture go so well with so many items of clothing they may just start to catch on.

Im going to keep trying to make these flowers and would be greatful for any suggestions.

Morning World

Morning all. Today I will be working on more creations with hemp. As suggested by a friend I am now in the process of learning to make some hemp flower broaches as a way to use up left over fabric and also to have something different to promote the versatility of hemp fabrics. I will add some pictures of my early attempts later today.

So what's going to happen and where's my Newsletter

I am planning to add a new designers images to this blog every week or two and in between we will have other images of items that have been made from the fabrics and hints and tips on how best to start making each item.
If you have an idea of something we could make and discuss let me know.

This blog will also have details of any events that Hemp Fabric UK will be attending along with any other important monthly news as I think this is better then filling everyones mail boxes with a newsletter each month. I hope you agree.

Here come some designers idea

I am thrilled to be able to bring you photos of designs created by just some of the talented designers that use my fabrics in there clothing. Each item has been made either with pure hemp fabric or hemp blended with organic cotton. There ideas are fantastic and show how versatile the fabric can be.

As you can see she has created designs suited for males and females and that are great in cold weather but can also be used in the summer with only slight changes.

Well I guess your wondering what Hemp Fabric Flare is all about. Well honestly speaking so am I.
My hope it that this space will be used by myself and others interested in Hemp Fabrics and how best to use them to share ideas and images and maybe even a few comments on life in general just to keep things going.
